"For several weeks now i have been participating in a discussion on LinkedIn with regard to God vs Science. In doing so, it has become ever more clear to me how closely what we call GOD resembles the electromagnetic energy field that underlies all of life. And, i want to share it here with you.
One of my main concerns re: GODism is the ability of a President such as George W. Bush to take a country like the United States into an illegal war (unsanctioned by the U.S. Senate) as he did in Iraq and do so "in the name of GOD." Organized war IMHO is legalized murder and while i am an atheist, i do believe in certain things, one of them being "Thou shalt not kill."
Here is what i wrote on LinkedIn addressing it to Rudy who began this discussion.
Rudy, again what you and others call "GOD" really fits the description of the electromagnetic energy field that underlies all of life. And as others have written here, "God" is what people called it, not knowing how to explain how EMF works in scientific terms, but instead seeing and writing about EMF in terms of it being human and in the form of a man. The electromagnetic energy field operates on the "law of attraction" meaning "like attracts like."
As for the resurrection of Christ, this is really a metaphor for the manner in which energy transforms -- energy in terms of physics is something that never dies, it only takes on a new form. A good example is the energy of boiling water -- at a certain point the water changes into steam and then evaporates and becomes air as it changes form again. And we are each but an energy field.
If history is reviewed holodynamically (meaning everything known is considered) then we see that Christianity was initially what is called a "pagan religion" that was then adopted by Emperor Constantine (later to become Pope Constantine) and made the official religion of Rome in 325 A.D.
Constantine chose Christianity over Mythraism which was the worship of the bull as a sign of fertility. Worshiping a human image in the form of Christ and God was considered a step up from worship of an animal. In doing these things, Constantine also rewrote the Old Testament, taking out 22 books including the book of Enoch which detailed the coming to Earth of the Nephilim, and created the New Testament. Christianity also took on many of the rites of the Mythraic religion in order to make it easier for Mythraicists to convert to Christianity. As well the Mother Mary was instituted as a representation of The Great Mother of Goddess worship, as Goddess worship was forbidden by the Levites who considered the practices of the Goddess to be immoral.
Needing a story to support Christianity, Paul and others then created God and Christ as a way of explaining the Sun's ability to influence life on Earth along with Christ being a representation of the liquid crystalline that makes up the human biology of us Earthlings The Holy Spirit is then a representation (symbol) of the electromagnetic energy field. We are in effect "spirit." (The finding of liquid crystalline as the basic energy field of the human body was made by biologist Mae Wan Ho and consequently verified by other scientists. more later on this.)
Also, there is a new theory of how the world came about and it is based on emergence rather than on the Big Bang theory. This is revealed in the research of Ervin Laszlo as recorded in his book: Science and the Akashic Field - An integral theory of everything.
"Mystics and sages have long maintained that there exists an interconnecting cosmic field at the roots of reality that conserves and conveys information, a field known as the Akashic record. Recent discoveries in vacuum physics show that this Akashic Field is real and has its equivalent in science's zero-point field that underlies space itself. This field consists of a subtle sea of fluctuating energies from which all things arise: atoms and galaxies, star and planets, living beings, and even consciousness. This zero-point Akashic Field is the constant and enduring memory of the universe. It holds the record of all that has happened on Earth and in the cosmos and relates it to all that is yet to happen."
The way i have come to view things is that we are each configured like a personal quantum computer and are linked into a huge supercomputer that we call "the Akashic Field." And we have the ability to access the supercomputer for information at any time we so desire. It also appears that we have the ability to rewrite the script of the software of our personal computers at any time -- we need only to change the state of our mind to do so. Changing the state of our mind gives us the ability to change the way we think about anything. And by changing the way we think about something gives us the ability to "transform" it and take it into another level of consciousness."
